Connexions Connexions is a place to view and share educational material made of small knowledge chunks, called modules, that can be organized as courses, books, reports, etc. Anyone may view or contribute:

Connexions: Best Practices in Online Teaching — A Course Connexions provides this course of practical strategies and pedagogical advice for instructors teaching in an online environment. The course includes advice about: preparing to teach in an online environment, managing the teaching of a course, and addressing larger issues surrounding online teaching (e.g., workload, intellectual property, etc.) The course includes interviews from a number of teachers who have taught in an online environment. This course is based on a training session offered to faculty who teach at The World Campus at Penn State University. While geared for higher education, many concepts are related to K-12 online instruction.

Curriki Curriki, an online community for creating and sharing open source K-12 curricula, announces the completion of phase one of its Web site redesign, part of the organization's ongoing efforts to provide an easy-to-use, online collaborative environment for educators and learners worldwide. The FAQs at http://www.curriki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/FAQ provide a good description of Curriki. In addition, Curriki has expanded its offering of open source curricula with a new educational program: “Panwapa,” http://www.curriki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Demo/panwapa, from Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind “Sesame Street,” in partnership with the Merrill Lynch Foundation. Panwapa, which in the Tshiluba language of Congo means "here on this earth," is a collection of educational resources designed to introduce and model the skills needed for global citizenship.

DMOZ Open Directory Project — Online Courses DMOZ provides links to many course offerings listed by topic. The Open Directory Project is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors. HippoCampus HippoCampus is a project of the Monterey Institute for Technology and Education (MITE). The goal of HippoCampus is to provide high-quality, multimedia content on general education subjects to high school and college students free of charge. Associated with the National Repository of Online Courses (NROC).

Major Instructional Design Solutions This site, primarily created by instructional designer JoAnn Gonzalez-Major, features modules, courses, blogs and portfolios that will have special interest for educators and course developers. The companion Web site Hitchhikers Guide to Course Development and the blog Rose Colored Glasses are very good sources for locating a wide variety of teaching tools.

OER Commons OER Commons is the first comprehensive, open learning network where teachers and professors (from pre-K to graduate school) can access their colleagues’ course materials, share their own, and collaborate on affecting today’s classrooms. It uses Web 2.0 features (tags, ratings, comments, reviews and social networking) to create an online experience that engages educators in sharing their best teaching and learning practices.
